DAY 1
KUALA LUMPUR MEDAN (2HRS / 130KM) – SIANTAR (1HRS 20MIN / 50KM)– PARAPAT (FERRY 45MINS)– SAMOSIR (X/L/D)
Meet and greet at KNO Airport. On the way to Parapat, stop by Toko Paten to buy some local snack. Upon reaching the serene town of Parapat, take the ferry to cross Lake Toba to Samosir Island (45mins). Free and easy. Overnight at Samosir
DAY 2
SAMOSIR ISLAND (FERRY 45 MINS) – PARAPAT (1HRS / 40KM) – SIMARJARUNJUNG (2HRS / 80KM) – BRASTAGI (B/L/X)
After breakfast, visit Ambarita Village to explore Huta Siallagan, where traditional Batak long houses and the historic Stone Chairs of King Siallagan remain. Witness Batak women weaving Ulos cloths before enjoying free shopping. Take a ferry to Parapat (45 mins) and proceed to Brastagi. Stop at Simarjarunjung for a coffee break (own expense) with views of Lake Toba, then visit Sipiso Piso Waterfall, one of Indonesia’s tallest. Continue to Brastagi for an overnight stay.
DAY 3
BRASTAGI (2HRS / 70KM) – MEDAN (B/L/D)
After breakfast, proceed to Brastagi and visit Pasar Buah for fresh fruit and flowers. Explore Taman Lumbini, a golden temple resembling Myanmar's Schwedagon. Continue to Medan to visit Velangkany Church, a Catholic church with Indian temple architecture, and Istana Maimun, a 1888 palace blending European and Islamic styles. Optionally, visit the Grand Mosque nearby. Drive through Kesawan’s old financial district, lined with colonial buildings, and stop at Tip Top Resto for traditional baked goods (own expense). Overnight in Medan.
